The fascination with green gardens

  • Green gardens are becoming increasingly trendy. The colour gives the garden a more harmonious appearance, it offers a variety of design option and comes in countless color gradations – and it’s not just for gardens lacking sunlight. In addition, most green plants are generally easier to care for compared with commonly used perennials. This book showcases around 20 private gardens that have been designed either entirely in green or which have particular areas of green.
  • Two private gardens by Peter Berg, who is a strong advocate for using the purest green possible, can be admired in this book. “Green is the most important colour in spring when it is very fresh! Just look at the woods, there are no variegated plants in nature!” Plants that are red, yellow or orange are strictly forbidden in his garden. “I bring them in by using trees that turn these beautiful colours in autumn.”
