“From an idea, a sketch on paper, we create a living garden – craftsmanship, which gives me great joy, is a combination of theory and practice.”

Tim Vennemann – high quality garden design between Düsseldorf and Münster
Tim Vennemann is a passionate gardener who lives in Dorsten between Münsterland and the Ruhr region. He grew up in his parents’ carpentry business, now run by the 4th generation of the family, which instilled a love of craftsmanship in his blood. Unlike his two siblings, who joined the family business, Tim Vennemann decided to pursue a greener path.
After his training and time at master school in Essen, Tim Vennemann became self-employed at the age of 22. He has been a member of the GartenLandschaft team since 2020. During that time, Tim Vennemann learned about and grew to appreciate the high-quality approach and values of the company.
He has been a GartenLandschaft partner since 2024. Operating under the name GartenLandschaft Tim Vennemann, he is the regional representative for high quality garden design in Düsseldorf, working with clients across North Rhine-Westphalia.

GartenLandschaft® – the brand for garden design with natural stone
Tim Vennemann met Peter Berg at a dry-stone wall workshop in Westum. They clicked right away. His enthusiasm for traditional craftsmanship and working with natural stone were the foundation for building a strong relationship with Peter Berg and Susanne Förster.
Tim Vennemann keeps the use of concrete to a minimum. Where the ground is covered with natural stone, it is laid as loosely as possible, with a layer of stone chips forming the base. Blocks of sawn basalt are an ideal material for building stairs. Basalt can also be used to cover walls. Peter Berg has collected and rescued, sometimes historic, natural stones which can be especially useful for such projects. Slate and greywacke are the most suitable materials to use for dry stone walls. When it comes to either shaping the terrain, terracing or structuring a garden, you cannot beat free-standing, freely placed boulders.
Tim Vennemann is now a strong advocate for using natural stone when designing a garden. With the expertise of the two founders behind him, all projects are completed in accordance with GartenLandschaft®‘s high standards. You can find more information about dry-stone wall workshops in the Shop
